There are so many things that will need to be done in the near future, but you want to start small.  Like with a list of things that need done, or things that you will need to purchase.  You get the idea.  And keep this list handy, as you will be adding to it almost every day.  Don’t let it take over your whole life.  Unless your baby is due in say February, you have a little time to work on all of this.  Planning is so much of the fun.  Look in magazines and catalogs to get some ideas.  There is so much out there and new things are coming on the market everyday.  Spend a little time thinking about what you want and how you want it to look or perform.  Some of the new items are just that and not really a needed or useful thing.  There is always something that you can spend your money on, but do it wisely.  Babies need a lot of things, mostly to make the parents life easier.

Bumper pads should never be used in infants’ cribs, according to new guidelines released by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  We have used bumper pads for a long time, but now they tell us not to.

There were several reasons that they were recommended:  the older baby beds had side slats that were far enough apart that a baby could put its head and arms and legs through.  The newer bed do away with this problem.  This is why we are told to be careful when purchasing a used baby bed.  Then there is the reason that it looks good in the bed, or that it matches the rest of the bedding.  But according to the experts, this is not good.  So it’s simple: DO AWAY WITH THE BUMPER PADS

Let’s don’t be afraid of color.  It does all kind of things for us.  It can brighten up the day.  It brings out the color in you eyes.  It just makes us happy.   Just because it is fall and winter is just around the corner, we don’t have to wear drab colors.  And if we don’t, why should out little boys.  My grandson’s favorite color is red, so I am always buying red.  It may be his whole wardrobe from Granny, but this is OK too.
