In just about every child’s life there is a time that they need a light to sleep. A little night light.
This is something that we need not make a big deal of. And it happens at different ages. For some reason a baby or child may feel a little insecure. It usually has nothing to do with how they are being treated. By this, I 
mean that you are not doing anything wrong. So don’t make it a problem. Just get a little night light and everything will be OK. And before you know it baby will be ready to sleep in the dark without any light at all. You know, some people leave a light on in their house all the time. If you are getting up several times in the night it just make getting around a lot easier.

I remember a Thanksgiving back when we were living abroad that we had our Thanksgiving dinner and gathering after the guys came home from work. As we had only our immediate families, several families joined together for a large dinner. I guess, this was when I realized that we, as Americans, were really special. No place is Thanksgiving celebrated, but the USA. So enjoy this time with your family and friends and give a special “THANKS” for all that we do have.

Have you ever wondered why the first word a baby learns to say is “NO”? The other day on TV there was this ad, I think they were advertising a bank, but any way this person ask a baby sitting in a high chair if he would like more money and the baby answered “NO”. It got me to wondering about this. Why no?
Maybe because this is the word that they hear more than any other. It’s kind of like a baby lives in a “no” world. It’s “no” that will hurt you. “No” you are to little. “No”this is hot. “No” that’s to loud. “No” you will fall. “No” do not put that in your mouth. “No” do not go in the street. “No” it’s to cold outside. The NO list can go on and on. It’s no wonder that this is the first word baby says. Maybe we as parents should think about this and see if baby can hear something better from us. I know that we all want to keep baby safe, but does it say something about us when baby’s first word is “NO”?
